SimplifiedTCGNews is an independent fan site. We collect as little as we can. This page says what we keep, why, and how to get rid of it. Questions: info@simplifiedtcgnews.com.

Reading the site

You can read everything without an account. The server keeps normal technical logs (IP address, browser, page) for security; our host deletes these after a short time.

Your account

To join you choose a username and a password. We do not ask for your email, real name or phone number. Members must be 16 or older.

We keep: your username, your password (scrambled, we cannot read it), the profile details you choose to fill in (avatar, cover, mood, country, city, about me, temple), and what you post: forum topics, replies, blog comments, scribbles and temple chat.

Whispers (private messages) are only shown to you and the member you whisper with. They are stored on our server, so the site's Host can see them if that is needed to deal with a report or abuse.

With posts and comments we store the IP address they came from, to fight spam and abuse.

Delete your account

Go to your profile, then Settings, then "Delete my account". Your account, profile, forum posts, blog comments, scribbles, temple chat and whispers are removed for good. You can also email us and we will do it for you.

Cookies

Always on (needed for the site to work): a login cookie when you are logged in, and stn_consent, which remembers your cookie choice for a year.

Only if you click Accept: Google Analytics (cookies _ga and _ga_…). It tells us which pages are read and roughly from which country, so we know what to write next. We do not use it for ads and we do not sell data. Google Analytics is run by Google; data may be processed outside your country. We keep analytics data for 14 months.

Changed your mind? Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Choosing "No thanks" removes the Google Analytics cookies.

Where the data lives

The site is hosted by Hostinger on servers in the United States. We do not share your data with anyone else, except when the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Email us and we answer within 30 days. If you live in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
